Local and national support for LGBTQ+

Ipswich & Suffolk: 

The OutHouse: NHS-funded support service that covers all of Suffolk and NE Essex. Offers support to individuals over 16 who identify as transgender or non-binary or who might be questioning their gender. Support extends to individuals, parents, carers, family, teachers and professionals. 

Outreach Youth: A youth work charity by and for LGBT*Q+ people aged under 25 in Suffolk. Outreach Youth is free and confidential.  

Ace Anglia: The Double Rainbow Empowerment LGBTQ+ Self advocacy group is Suffolk-based, advocating for LGBTQ+ people with a learning disability and autistic people. Groups are held at Ipswich County Library, Northgate Street, Ipswich, IP1 3DE.

Trans Legal Clinic: A grassroots, trans-led legal clinic providing free and accessible legal support to trans people across the UK. TLC has a team of caseworkers in Housing and Homelessness, Discrimination, Gender Based Violence and Gender Recognition.

Immigration: 

Rainbow Migration: Supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system.  

Provides practical and emotional support for LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum to help improve their confidence and self-esteem and reduce isolation. Offers immigration legal advice and information to LGBTQI+ people who want to live in the UK with their partners.
