Thank you! – SLC Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser 2024

Our first legal Scavenger Hunt Fundraiser went off on Thursday last week, despite the weathers best efforts to dampen our spirits!

7 teams from local law firms took part with fantastic team names like Quad Squad Detectives, Ladies that Hunt and Equality Killed the Cat. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the dash around the park between the monsoon rains that fell.

We are pleased to say that all teams made it round without getting locked in Christchurch Park though some were wetter than others by the end!

We would like to thank all the teams that took part and came along, it was great to meet you all and have your support, we could not have done it without you: Attwells Solicitors; Birketts LLP; Kerseys Solicitors; Clara Rose; Birkett Long and Barker Gotelee Solicitors, joined by some of the staff, volunteers and Trustees from Suffolk Law Centre.

Our thanks go out to the Woolpack Pub for allowing us to gather in their garden gazebo after and shelter from the rain!

We would also like to thank all the local companies that donated to our raffle prize which we drew at the end of the hunt – without these we may not have been able to entice so many people to participate!

Thank you to:
Greater Anglia Railways (family ticket for 4 to London)
Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park (family day out at the farm)
Adnams (Hamper of products)
Suffolk Food Hall (afternoon tea for two)
Coes (£25 voucher)
Deben Inns (£20 voucher)
Birketts LLP (Suffolk Food Hall Hamper)
– The Mayor of Ipswich – Elango K Elavalakan (Afternoon tea for 4 with him)
Jemma Jones – SLC Trustee (Bottle of Prosecco)

Thank you all for coming and making the event a success, and thank you to everyone who donated through the JustGiving page, we raised £470 + £65 Gift Aid, so a huge help towards our core running costs.

P.S. We will be fundraising further over the next 12 months. If you have any ideas or would like to hold a fundraiser in support of Suffolk Law Centre, please contact Sue Wardell via Email – sue@suffolklawcentre.org.uk

(An Easter Egg Hunt has already been suggested! 😅 )
