School Leavers Passport – SLC and DAWN

On 6 August, Suffolk Law Centre (SLC) and Disability Advice and Welfare Network (DAWN), launched the new ‘School Leavers Passport’ at the Chelmsford Race Course Autism Family Day.

The School Leavers Passport contains important information and advice for neuro divergent school leavers on how and where to get the help they need to proceed with the next steps in their life after school/education finishes.

Created collaboratively by a group of neurodiverse young people, DAWN and SLC,  the passport is being distributed by DAWN to young people and educational establishments around the country following the launch, which was reported on local BBC Radio and Television news.

Partially funded through the Baring Foundation and Law Centres Network, the passport has been endorsed nationally by Sir Robert Buckland, author of the Buckland Report of Autism Employment, released earlier this year, the DWP and the Anna Kennedy Foundation, alongside Autism charities, universities and colleges.
